Scissor Sisters whose single 'Laura' was recently remixed by City Hi-Fi are playing live at Xfm's Winter Warmer at the London Astoria on Sunday 14th of December. Other acts confirmed for the night are The Music, The Cooper Temple Clause and Martina Topley-Bird with more special guests to be announced. Tickets are available in advance from the Xfm Xchange on 0870 121 1049, all profits will go to the homeless charity Shelter.

The Dub Pistols played a comprehensive set to a very 'relaxed' audience at Amsterdam's Melkweg on Wednesday night.Original vocalist's T.K Lawrence and James Dewees formally of New York's 'Sight beyond light' joined the Pistols onstage for an hour long set which featured the first live perfomance anywhere in the world of the songs 'Six million ways to live'(Or as free styled on the night 'Six million ways to smoke that's why I'm always broke.') and 'Keep keep moving' (available on the Mystery men soundtrack).

The gig was recorded and filmed by High Times magazine and should surface soon on DVD, excerpts may also comprise a 'live at the Cannabis Cup' e.p. in the future.

To finish off a highly enjoyable trip on Thursday morning the band members attended the High Times Vendors exhibition and got a chance to meet the growers of this years Cannabis Cup entries, on display at the exhibition was the latest grow technology as well as various Cannabis related merchandise including the highly recommended and amusing Mr Green's 'I grow the Chronic' DVD.

The Dub Pistols will perform live at Amsterdam's world famous Melkweg venue for the Cannabis Cup this Wednesday,November the 26th.
The 16th annual High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam Holland 11/23-11/27 is a harvest festival and awards ceremony that attracts thousands of people from all over the world. The Cannabis Cup founded by Steve Hager 16 years ago, was first started as a search for the best Seed Company strains in Holland. It has since grown into a world famous party, concert and exhibition and has been featured in the New York Times as well as on 60 Minutes, CNN and FOX. There will be a cutting edge expo at the Arena hotel this year that will feature the latest in grow technology, glass, hemp/fashion and activist information. The weeks ceremonies culminate Thursday night 11/27 at the awards ceremony at the Melkweg, when the Cannabis Cups are awarded. The Cannabis Cup,The academy awards of Marijuana are given for best seed company strains, coffeeshop strains as well as the best products, glass and booth at the Cannabis Cup Expo. The votes are a combination of popular votes and celebrity judging committees.

Featured performers at the Melkweg include, George Clinton, Macka B, Keller Williams, Members of Cannabil Ox with Jean Grae, Babu and Rakaa (Dilated Peoples), CQMD (France), Trip Tik (France), Defari, The Five Points Band with Shannon Mcnally, Dub Pistols, Cannabis Cup Band, Rocker T, DJ Geemel (Israel) The Machine and Jason Crosby Band.
