
John King
is primarily the Dub Pistols' guitarist, although when he is not busy touring with the Pistols
he works on many other solo projects.
John's most recent project is the 'Jap Sluts' which features him on lead vocals and guitar.The 'Jap Sluts' are
a collaboration between John and producer
Ed Shrager, the pair have been working together since early 2004 when they met on sessions
for Roots Manouver's forthcoming album (which John also features on). The Jap Sluts are about to start
touring (dates will be posted on the site soon), other band members include Tim Hutton (Ian Brown, Groove Armada)
on drums and
Lord Hagos (Senser, Lodestar, Ozric Tentacles) on guitar.
John King has also been working on another project called 'Digital Fox' which formed
when he and Daniel Shay (Hardwire) hooked up with vocalist Melissa Heathcote and began
writing material together. All three members have numerous years of experience within the
music field being in bands such as The Trudy, Shampoo, Dub Pistols, Hardwire and Jap Sluts
to name just a few and all have played far ranging gigs from festivals to clubs and other
venues
around the world including US and European tours as well as national events.
Within a short
period of time Digital Fox has acheived a great deal and their debut E.P
'The Trouble With Me' has been recieving huge recognition within the dance music
fraternity with listings in the DMC update buzz chart and regular plays by respected and
big name DJ's alike. 'The Trouble With Me' E.P. is scheduled for release on
Kingsize Records in
the near future.
